Years ago if you wanted to watch history-related content then the History channel was probably your go-to. But with the fall of cable and rise of YouTube, we now have more options, though you do need to be mindful with who you’re getting your information from because of course there are people out there who are mainly in it for the money and will push out a video without verifying its accuracy. That being said there a many awesome and well-educated history buffs on the YouTube platform who pride themselves on getting the information that they put out as correct as possible. 7 Best History Themed YouTube Channels The 7 best YouTubers for history content, in no specific order, are The Welsh Viking, Tasting History With Max Miller, The History Guy, Weird History, Absolute History, Today I Found Out, and UsefulCharts. They all do excellent research and always provide accurate information. You can tell they are very passionate about their work and always provide quality content. And with that let’s get into some of my current favorites! The Welsh Viking Focusing mainly on the Viking age. “The welsh Viking” Also known as Jim Johnson is a Ph.D. researcher, actor, and historical re-enactor. His content consists of what life was like during the Viking age. What type of clothing was and wasn’t worn during the period, even showing how certain items were made.
